In the spirit of "readers come first, services matter most", we provide such services as self-service borrowing and returning, self-service printing, copying and scanning, seat/seminar room reservation, electronic reading rooms and multimedia appreciation, bringing quality, convenient and modernized experience to our readers.

The seminar rooms, a relatively independent space, are equipped with touch-screen all-in-one PC, smart whiteboard and other facilities with varying functions from computer screen projection, whiteboard writing to screenshot sharing, and allow online booking. In addition to the rooms, booking kiosks in the library are available to readers who want to select self-study seats on the spot or reserve a seat online. Moreover, readers could use the Self-Service System for borrowing and returning books, and paying overdue fines.

E-book readers enable readers to borrow electronic books online by scanning QR codes. E-newspaper readers provide access to more than 200 types of Chinese newspapers. The multi-functional printers are installed for self-service printing, copying and scanning.

Qingdao Campus Library has various multimedia appreciation devices coupled with dedicated headsets such as reading pavilions, electronic pianos and Kuke digital phonographs, which allows readers to “quietly” record their own voices and listen to them so that they can enjoy the joy of music without worrying about bothering others.

While offering various informationalized services, the library also introduces a variety of cutting-edge technologies. The RFID system introduced into Qingdao Campus Library for the first time combines functions of self-service borrowing and returning, inventory and monitoring, which significantly improves the efficiency of borrowing, returning and seeking books.
