Since May 10, 2018, in order to enable readers to make full use of our collections, for those holding a University ID Card, such as the faculty, medical staffs, visiting scholars, postdoctoral students, doctoral students, graduate students and undergraduates, the library no longer limites the number of general books they can borrow. Other borrowing rules are the same as before.
The administrative “Main Library” office is located in the Central Campus Library, that is , the branch library of Arts and Sciences. If the book is shown in the “Main Library”, that means it cannot be borrowed for the time being. Only when it is shown in a specific location can the book be borrowed.
The university ID card shall only be used by authorized individuals and not be lent to others. You may not use others' university ID card.
Loss reporting shall be made immediately (even if temporarily not found). No matter who borrows books with your university ID card, you will be held liable for returning or compensating the checked-out books; books you have already checked out with your university ID card should be properly kept.
New students may register the borrowing function of their university ID card through a level game in learning system.
Login to the system
Ⅰ. 30 questions in total, all from the library “Guide" of the Freshman Column
Ⅱ. 100 points in total, for Question 1-20, 3 points each; for Question 21-30, 4 points each. Equal or above 80 points is passed; less than 80 points is failed.
Ⅲ.When you succeed, there will be a “Open Borrowing Service” button, after clicking, user can open the borrowing service of university ID card. If you do not pass the exam, the system will appear “Please Re-test”,then click the button to start, you can learn the “Guide” again, time of answering questions is not limited.
Note: if you successfully pass the learning system, the browser will be closed without clicking “Open Borrowing Service”, and the borrowing function of university ID card cannot be opened. You need to re-login to the system and click “Open Borrowing Service” after passing the exam.
Readers should pay attention to the expiring date of borrowed books. All books should be returned on time. If the books expire during the winter and summer vacation, you can return them within 5 days after the new term starts. If it is due during holidays, it can be returned on the first day after the holidays. If you do not return the overdue books, then you will be fined 0.10 yuan each book per day. If you return the book within 3 days after its expiring date, you are free from charging fines. Otherwise, you should pay the actual overdue fines. If you do not return the overdue books,the system will automatically suspend borrowing function of your University ID Card.
Username: the last six numbers of your university ID card number. If the last sixth number is “0”, then the username is the last five numbers. (Old Version)
The holders of the new version of university ID card please log in with your card number; for holders of the old version, please use the last six numbers to log in. If the first or first two of the last six numbers is “0” or “00”,just omit “0” or “00”.
Password: The default password is the query password of your university ID card.
If you forget the query password of your University ID card, you can take your ID card with you to the University ID Card Recharging Center to reset your query pass-word.

If you need to renew a book, you can renew it online or resort to the Service Center with the university ID card only under the condition that no other readers reserve the book. Each book can only be renewed once during the borrowing period.
The books borrowed (except those in the New Book Loan Desk) can be renewed once (for 30 days) a weekbefore the expiring date. There are two ways of renewal: one is to renew the books at the Service Center where you borrow them; the other is to renew the books online(with your computer or phone) by logging in “My Library” under the condition that no others have reserved the books.
Renewal precedures: Login “My Library” on the library homepage, click the “Current Borrowing”, then select the items of books to renew, and click the “Renew” button.
